Club of the Month: Conroy Dance Centre

This month, we're excited to introduce Conroy Dance Centre as our Chasing Oso Club of the Month!

Located in Brendale on Brisbane's Northside, Conroy Dance Centre is a vibrant dance and performing arts school dedicated to inspiring the next generation of dancers and performers.

Offering a wide range of dance styles for students of all ages and abilities, Conroy welcomes everyone from little ones taking their very first dance steps to dedicated dancers working towards professional careers in the performing arts.

More Than Just Dance

At the heart of Conroy Dance Centre is a passion for creating a positive, supportive and inspiring environment where students can thrive.

While quality dance training is a priority, Conroy believes dance is about so much more than technique. It's about building confidence, developing discipline, forming lifelong friendships and discovering a genuine love for performing.

Whether students dance for fun, fitness, friendship or future career aspirations, Conroy provides a place where they can feel encouraged, supported and celebrated.

Opportunities to Shine

For dancers looking to take their passion further, Conroy offers a range of exciting performance and development opportunities.

Alongside their regular classes, students can participate in competition teams, the Starz Production Team and Conroy Performing Arts College, providing pathways for those wanting to develop their skills and pursue a future in the performing arts industry.

And their students are certainly making their mark!

2026 has been an exciting year for Conroy, with students successfully completing Classical, Jazz, Tap and Diploma examinations.

One of the year's biggest highlights was an international trip to Macau for the International Youth Dance Festival, where 23 Conroy students proudly represented Australia, performing alongside talented dancers from around the world.

From the Studio to the Professional Stage

Conroy's dedication to developing young performers extends well beyond the dance studio.

Many current students and alumni have gone on to secure incredible professional opportunities in the entertainment industry, including musical theatre productions, cruise ship contracts and touring performances.

It's a wonderful reflection of the opportunities, training and encouragement available to students who dream of turning their love of performing into a career.

What's Next for Conroy?

The excitement isn't slowing down!

Conroy is currently preparing for its annual end-of-year concert, "That's Dancing" 2026, held at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre.

This much-loved event gives students the opportunity to showcase everything they've worked towards throughout the year and celebrate their achievements with family, friends and their dance community.

Celebrating the Conroy Community

What we love most about Conroy Dance Centre is their commitment to helping young people grow, not just as dancers, but as individuals.

From first performances and new friendships to international stages and professional careers, Conroy is creating opportunities for young performers to build confidence, follow their passions and achieve incredible things.

We're so excited to celebrate Conroy Dance Centre as our Chasing Oso Club of the Month!
